Sisal is extracted from the Agave Sisalana plant. The fleshy leaves are cut by hand then crushed and washed to remove impurities. The remaining leaves are dried and graded ready to be spun into yarns. The yarns for our carpets are imported from Tanzania.
Sisal unlike most other natural fibers can be dyed and is available in a wide range of styles and colours. The most popular styles are Bouclé, Maxi Bouclé and Panama.

Sisal is sustainable and 100% biodegradable. It is extremely hard-wearing and it is also anti-static. This is a great advantage for any office settings with computers. Sisal also provides a natural sound insulation and is generally better for those prone to allergies and asthmatic reactions.
